I’m Sasan, an illustrator and designer based in Berlin, working primarily with the quiet intensity of hand-crafted ink. For more than two decades, my creative path has taken me across South Africa, the UAE, Northern Ireland and Germany—shaping an artistic voice rooted in cultural diversity, visual storytelling, and a deep respect for craft.
With a strong background in publishing and years spent in art direction for magazines and newspapers, I developed an instinct for narrative flow, composition, and the subtle power of imagery. Today, whether I’m creating editorial illustrations, book covers, or posters, my focus remains on the expressive possibilities of traditional ink: line, shadow, atmosphere, and the stories that emerge from them.
My work lives at the intersection of craftsmanship and intuition—an ongoing exploration of how analogue marks can build entire worlds and invite the viewer to slow down, look closer, and experience a story drawn by hand.
