20 birds drop dead as family enjoys a raclette dinner. Apparently toxic gases are released which birds are very sensitive too. Strange but a true story. This is the illustration for a newspaper article on the story. This was the first illustration but I also drew a second option.
Life is a sweet lie and death is the bitter truth.
This sketch was done real quickly. I experimented with ink washes, laying down various layers starting from light to dark. When I create an illustration, I find that the most difficult part is when to stop! Often my drawings are overly detailed. In the future I will try to establish more controlled brush strokes and lines.
War only produces suffering and pain… and glory, but glory for who? I wish from the bottom of my heart, that the endless killings in the region would stop. this goes out to all sides!
